FIND, Inc. District 3 Public Relations

District 3 is a non-profit organization that provides students with resources regarding Filipino/Filipino American culture while creating a unified community of exchange & cooperation between students in NYC, NJ, & Long Island universities. In the 2020-2021 year, I served as the district’s Public Relations Officer.

During my term, I managed the D3 Instagram by designing promotional graphics, editing videos, creating PR plans, writing copy, & executing marketing campaigns. I also sent monthly emails to each club to inform of the district’s events and networking programs. Furthermore, I attended multiple club events daily & collaborated with students across universities to host events, allowing me to foster a community of over 2000 students across 26 organizations within the district.

movie night instagram stories

During quarantine, D3 was in the works of adapting to an online platform while still maintaining the same momentum & engagement received in person. The organization created an official Discord server, where movie nights were hosted. In order to increase event attendance & awareness, I created movie night graphics for our executive board & district members to share on their Instagram stories. After scanning a physical movie ticket, I created a design that helped boost our attendance x3.

Prior to being elected into District 3 Executive Board, I shadowed the previous board. Shadows were encouraged to create graphics for upcoming district events, so I created a promotional video for the Date Auction event in February 2020.

philippine independence day

Annually, District 3 attends the Philippine Independence Parade in New York City, but due to COVID-19, the parade was cancelled. To continue the celebration virtually, I created a graphic for the Instagram.

Each year, District 3 elects a new executive board. To announce the new leaders of the district, I collaborated with the secretary to create reveal graphics while following the trending Vogue magazine covers.

leadership summit 2020

District 3 hosts a day of workshops for executive board members of over 26 organizations to learn more about Filipinx identity & leadership. In 2020, the theme was “Isang Bagsak,” meaning one down. To promote the event & its workshops, I created the following graphics utilizing fall colors (showcasing 3 samples) to announce our guest speaker & the workshop hosts.

subtle d3 dating 2021

In the month of February, District 3 hosts a general body meeting to celebrate Filipinx artists & Valentine’s Day. To boost attendance & community engagement, we host a date auction for the members similar to “Subtle Asian Dating,” a Facebook group meant to help individuals find matchable partners. With many successful love stories & friendships in District 3 due to this campaign, the campaign returns every year to help build connections & promote our February meeting. The following are samples of graphics I have made for the Subtle D3 Dating campaign.

instagram takeovers

District 3 executive board hosts a special on the Instagram story twice a year, one in the fall to promote Leadership Summit & one in the spring to promote D3 Elections. For my takeovers, I would be in charge of posting and sharing on the official Instagram.
